-
Incandescent Soft Glow Rope Light
- Where it is used: Featured on our 36" Tapered Beveled Crosses and Traditional Wooden Crosses with Stained Glass Centers due to limited space for an LED transformer.
- History: Used on all of our crosses prior to July 2024.
- Lifespan: Offers fewer burning hours than LED lights.
-
Important Notes for Light Replacements
- Compatibility: If you bought a cross before July 2024 (excluding the 36" Tapered Beveled or Traditional Stained Glass models), you must order the 3/8" LED Cool White replacement.
- Mounting Tracks: Our tracks fit 3/8" round rope lights. If your current track is 1/2", it is too large. We can supply a 3/8" replacement track for you.
- Securing Clips: You may need updated clips for the four outside ends and inside corners. Older crosses did not include these, but we can provide them along with a photo guide.
- Before You Disassemble: Take a few photos of the back of your cross before removing the old rope light. Use these photos as a guide during reinstallation.
- Installation Safety: We highly recommend hiring a licensed electrician to install your new track and rope light.
- Power Setups: The power cord and plug are attached to the center of the crossmembers on the back. It can plug directly into an outlet or an extension cord. Contact us to let us know where your outlet is located.
- CRITICAL SAFETY: You must replace the rope light or turn it off immediately if any bulbs burn out.
- Be Prepared: We always recommend keeping a backup section of rope light on hand for quick replacements.
Accent Lighting
- Alternative to Backlighting: Shines directly onto the front of the cross instead of behind it.
- Great for Heavy Crosses: You do not need to remove large, heavy crosses from the wall just to change the bulbs.
- Accent Lighting: Is used instead of backlighting to shine on the cross and is especially useful with large heavy crosses by not having to remove from wall to replace the backlighting. View crosses with Accent Lighting

Mounting Crosses
🛠️ Pre-Purchase Installation Requirements
For over 20 years, churches and organizations nationwide have safely trusted our framing parameters. We are proud to maintain a flawless safety record with zero mounting failures and zero online complaints. Because wall materials vary drastically—from historic plaster to modern drywall, steel studs, or masonry—please review these pre-purchase requirements to ensure a seamless installation.
- ⚠️ Structural Warning: Indoor use only. Crosses weigh 8 to 110 lbs and must anchor directly into wood studs, reinforced metal studs, or masonry. Never use drywall anchors.
- 📦 Hardware & Lifting: Sizes 8"–48" utilize a single center screw. Sizes 60"+ or backlit models utilize heavy-duty aluminum interlocking brackets. Large architectural scales require a 2 to 4-person team lift or mechanical hoist.
- 🛠️ Tools Needed: Level, tape measure, stud finder, and wall-specific fasteners (such as toggle bolts for metal or masonry anchors for stone). Do not use power drills or impact guns on the timber.
