Salvation Cross
Message
If you have
never called
upon the Lord Jesus Christ to save you, forgive you of your sins and
give you eternal life in heaven, today can be the day. No one is good
enough to save themselves or earn enough approval from God to save
them. By God's grace through faith, believing in the gospel of Jesus
Christ is the only way to be saved
and know for sure you will go to heaven and not hell. Right now ask God
who loves you and is more than willing by His Spirit to open your heart
to understand His word, believe His word and be saved today.
Faith and the word of God
work together: Romans 10:17
"So then faith comes by hearing, and
hearing by the word of God."
The reality of sin and the
holiness of God: Romans 3:23
"For all have sinned and fall
short of the glory of God."
The penalty of sin and the
gift of eternal life: Romans
6:23 "For the wages of sin is death
but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Jesus Christ paid the
penalty for our sins on the cross to save us from hell: Romans
5:8-9 "But God demonstrates His love towards us that while we
were
still
sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having been justified by
His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him."
The Gospel explained:1 Corinthians 15:3-4
"That Christ died for our sins according to the
Scriptures and that He was buried and that He rose again the third day
according to the Scriptures."
Believing always follows
the preaching of Gods word: 1
Corinthians 15:11 "Therefore,
whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed."
Confessing and believing
in Jesus to save you must be done through faith: Ephesians 2:8-9
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of
yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should
boast"
Romans 10:9-13
"That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and
believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you will be
saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the
mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scriptures says,
whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame. For there is no
distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich
to all who call upon Him. For whoever calls upon the name of the Lord
shall be saved."
Today is the right day to
believe and be saved: 2
Corinthians 6:2 For He says,"In an
acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have
helped you. Behold now is the accepted time, behold, now is the day of
salvation.
The Day of Decision- To
believe or not believe
Since you heard the gospel today and if God's Spirit
and His word has convicted you of your sins and you know in your own
heart that you have not believed in Jesus to save you, you are ready to
be saved now. Simply say to Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I have
no hope of eternal life. Right now I believe in my heart that You died
for me on that cross to save me from eternal hell paying the penalty
for all my sins. You were buried and was raised from the dead on the
third day having victory over death. I know by believing that, I will
be forgiven of all my sins and will receive the gift of living eternal
life in Heaven with You as my present and eternal Savior. Thank you
Jesus for saving me today.
Your new commitment to
Jesus Christ: From this day forward I choose to follow my Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ by prayer, bible study, and obedience. I will
ask Him to help me find a church of committed Christians that preaches
and teaches God's word without compromise, who baptizes new converts,
disciples them to grow in their faith, in their worship, and their
witness of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
